Workshop setup in rural Brazil — the starting point for GAUSS Material Trials and the world's first indestructible luxury jacket

Before the first test, there was a room. Part of GAUSS Material Trials — building the world's first indestructible luxury jacket from the middle of nowhere.

GAUSS Material Trials. Before the first test, before the first material, there was this room. No factory. No team. No allocated budget. Rural Brazil — the kind of place where nobody expects something like this to start.

Most people building a product at this level do it in cities. In studios with proper lighting and ventilation and access to suppliers two hours away. The decision to build here wasn't romantic — it was what I had. The setup took everything I had to get it to functional. At some point I stopped thinking about what was missing and started working with what was there.

When I stepped back and looked at the room, something shifted. The middle of nowhere has a specific advantage that cities don't — there's no consensus about what's possible. No one nearby who's already decided this can't be done here, or that it should look a certain way, or that you need the right address before you start. The constraint clarifies. You build with what's in front of you or you don't build.

This is where the world's first indestructible luxury jacket starts. Mark I, 999 numbered units, made in Portugal when the time comes — but the search for what goes inside it starts here. Daily material tests, one blade, one material at a time. The first test is already done. The series is already running.

Test 1 is already live. Test 2 drops tomorrow. Building from rural Brazil — one daily test at a time.
